BROWZE

ABOUT

BROWZE is an apparel planning and manufacturing company with its own factory. Established in 2003, we have worked with various brands on many projects, patterns, and production over the course of 15+ years. In 2014, we took over a factory in Saitama Prefecture, further adding to the company’s structure. At the core of the company is our representative who has a pattern making background and a production director who has a background in fabric retail. By being in close communication, we responsibly manage the entire process from the creation of the basic pattern, following an assessment of material characteristics and given situation, to manufacturing and mass production. By understanding our customers’ vision, we suggest patterns, materials, accessories, and sewing designs based on knowledge gained from years of experience in order to present the most satisfying results. We strive to go above and beyond what is expected of a modelist.

WORKFLOW

  1. 1

    DESIGN

    Proposal of design, material,
    and accessory

We suggest materials, accessories, patterns, and sewing designs after fully understanding the client’s image for a product by using knowledge gained from years of experience. We also assist in applying any requests made into the design.

  2. 2

    SPEC SHEET

    Spec sheet for sample

Based on the client’s design, we create a spec sheet with sewing designs and detailed directions with a clear image of the sewing scene. The spec sheet file format will either be in excel or PDF.

  3. 3

    PATTERN

    Pattern for sample

Items are assigned to several experienced patternmakers. All patterns are managed through final CAD (TORAY CREACOMPO) as data. Marking and grading are also done.

  4. 4

    SAMPLE

    Confirm size and balance

In a standard two-week deadline, measurements and inspections are made. Samples are checked by the client for any improvements to be made either in the final sample or for bulk production.

  5. 5

    BULK PRODUCTION

    Mass production towards deadline

Patterns are graded and a factory suited for the product is selected, starting with the company’s factory and partner factories. Overseas manufacturing is possible for some items. Secondary operations such as embroidery, print, and washing are also available.

  6. 6

    DELIVERY

    Finishing touches and delivery

Products are delivered after careful inspection in the best inspection factories in Japan. An inspection/needle detecting report is submitted at the time of delivery. Hanger delivery, finishing touches using keepers, and center press are available.

PROJECT

YAAH PRODUCT SHOWCASE FROM FACTORY

In 2014, by utilizing the advantage of having a company factory, we established a factory brand that values Japan-made products. Our objective is to explore what good craftsmanship is, based on the experience we have gained. Instead of being lead by the brand, we make proposals from where the craft happens. Production/project patternmakers and factory staff become one to finish every product.
